September 11, 2001 certainly changed the way we look at the world and how the world views us. I provided trauma recovery services in, and around, the NYC area for several weeks immediately following the attack. Later, I deployed to Washington, DC to aid other groups involved with the event.
I serve as a Mental Health Manager and Provider both locally and nationally. I have been involved with local disasters such as tornados, fires, toxic spills and welcoming of hurricane victims. Nationally, I have served following wildfires, floods and hurricane relief.
I serve as Mental Health Lead for the Knox Area Chapter.
After two years serving as a Red Cross development team member, training trainers and pilot presentations, I am proud to see the roll-out of the Coming Home Series presented by Walmart.
